Bald is Beautiful!!!
So here are some more pictures of her in the hospital. You can tell that she is not feeling up to par but she is a fighter. She is still doing good, she has just been sleeping a lot which is good. We have lots of hats to cover up the head and she doesn't even mind them on. I was worried that she would try to take them off but she hasn't really tried. So we are still hanging in there. We just take it day by day. Tomorrow is just another day.

So Sad!!!
So she finally lost every bit of her hair. It was a given but I dreaded this day. Now that it is here I know that it is the least thing that I need to worry about. It just hair it will grow back. She is still doing so good, the doctors are amazed everyday they walk in and she is still holding strong. Actually today the doctor came in and said that she is his easiest patient which is awesome knowing what she just went through. Stay strong Kynna.

Sleepy Time!!!
So I took the kids up to the playroom at the hospital because they were getting a little stir crazy. The rooms are small and having 5 people in the rooms its even smaller. So anyway I came back down after a half an hour to find Craig and Kynna sleeping face to face. Makynna's nurse was in the room when I walked in laughing. She thought it was cute so I had to take a picture of it. They sleep like that for another hour. When Craig woke up he complained that his face hurt I kinda laughed as I showed him the picture.

Our Big Day!!!
So yesterday was our big day. Jacob had to be at the hospital by 6 o'clock and his procedure started at 7:30 a.m. He went into it like a pro. He never complained once. When it was all over and he woke up from it he made the comment to Craig " its already over, I didn't even cry". I am so glad that that's over. They had to take the bone marrow to the labs a split the bone morrow from the red blood cells because Jacob and Makynna are different blood types. Don't ask me how they did that. Then Makynna got the bone marrow by 1:00 an finished by 6:00. She is doing really well. She hasn't even gotten to sick but it can still come because her white blood cells are at zero. We just have to be really careful. Jacob is doing really good to he was running a couple hours after they took his bone marrow. He never complained about being sore. Man Kids are so tough. We don't give them enough credit. I couldn't be more please with the hospital and the staff they are awesome. Know it is a wait and see game. It could take 4-6 weeks until we know if Makynna has taken on to Jacobs bone Marrow.

Tragedy Struck Again!!!
So today makes the 5th day of Makynna's Chemo. She has been doing really well. I know that the rath of it will be coming a little later. So my amazing mother came down here to Stanford to help me until Craig could come down. We got a call late Monday night telling us that her mother was in a car accident a was killed. Tragedy again struck the Jones Family. It was such a shock to all of us that it didn't even seem real. So my mother left to take care of everything and I am down here by myself and I have a lot of time on my hands. I have made three blanket, filled out my Christmas cards, finished most of my cookbooks that I am making for some of my friends and family for Christmas and started scrapbooking again. It has been nice except that I haven't been out of this room in a couple days and that gets old. Oh well I have to get used to it I will be here for a couple months. I don't mean to complain I need to stop being so selfish. Merry Christmas to all.

On Our Way!!!
Well we are finally down here at Stanford! It has been a long exhausting road to make it to this point. Makynna just started her Chemo today and she is doing good. They say that it doesn't start affecting the kids until a little later. I have such mixed feelings about everything. I am so excited to be here and to start everything but it is hard to think of what she has to go through. Another thing that had been going through my mind is having more children. There is a 25% chance that I will have other kids affected by Hurlers. That is scary I don't want to put another kid through this plus I don't know if I could make it through again. I just talked to a doctor about it today and he said that it might be smart to be artificially inseminated (I totally misspelled that) I just feel that there is a plan for each and every one of us and that whatever is meant to happen is going to happen. I just feel that it is taking away from heavenly fathers plan but then again modern medicine is here for us. Please help with any suggestion.

Finally!!!!
Well we are finally on our way! We just spent our last week at Stanford finishing up all the last of the testing that needed to be be done. Now we finally get to start everything. I know its something that we shouldn't be excited for but they have put us off 3 times and I just want it to be over with. We leave December 9 and they admitted her the morning of December 10. I am excited but scared. They start Chemo on th 11 and do about 7 days of Chemo, then they have 2 rest days and then Jacob comes in December 20 to do the transplant. What a stud.

Pumpkin Patch!!!
Sorry it has taken me this long to blog these Pumpkin Patch picture. We went to the Pumpkin Patch 2 Saturdays before Halloween. It happen to be one of the nicest days of the year here in good old Humboldt county. We meet up with some friend and family. I let Jacob and Alexis pick out there own pumpkins. Of coarse Jacob had to pick the biggest pumpkin ever and trying to help him carry it and carry Makynna was quite a handful. Alexis pick out a smaller round one and then it was a race to see who could pick the best one out for Makynna. Of coarse they fought over it until I had to step in and pick one out for Makynna. Man sometimes they kill me!!! So anyway we finally made it home. Everyday they ask when it was time to carve the pumpkins. We finally did it a week before Halloween so they wouldn't mold. Then it was whose was better. I don't think I will ever get a break from it. They compete with each other all the time. I hope they will grow out of it someday.

We had so much fun but it is very exausting.

A End in Sight!!!
So to keep everybody updated on my little girl we just got back from a long exhausting trip from Stanford. We had doctor appointment after doctors appointment. We started everything Tuesday morning at 8:00 and had 4 appointments and blood work to be done. Wenesday we started again at 8:00 and got done a little earlier 3:00. Thursday was our day off so we decided to hang out and visit the great mall of the bay which is located in Milpitas. Being there no longer then 20 minutes my little girl had a fever and started throwing up all over. We had to leave right away a hang out in our tiny motel room. oh well life goes on. Then Friday we started at 10:00 and got done about 3:00 and then had to go back at 7:00 to do a sleep study for all night at the hospital that wasn't to fun. Makynna had about 30 wires hanging off of her everywhere so it was hard for her to sleep. After that we were done by the end of all the appointment I was mentally and physically exhausted and my poor Makynna who was stuck about 4 times didn't even want any other doctors touching her. Eveything went pretty good she is scheduled for her Bone Marrow Tansplant October 22 which I am excited for because then I know that there is a end in sight!!!

Karate Kid!!!
Jacob has just started Karate too! Yes I know I am keeping my kids very active but with everything going on with Makynna and me having to be gone I want them to be as busy as they can so they don't think of me not being around. He is so cute. Today he came home from school and he said that a little boy in his class was being rude to him, so he told him that he knew Karate and the little boy left him alone.
I just thought it was funny because the first week of school Jacob got pushed down, punched, and a kid burped in his face so for Jacob to stand up for himself I thought it was great. Not necessarily to be mean just say no that's not okay.

My Little Soccer Players!!!
Jacob and Alexis just started soccer about a week ago. They just had there first game last Saturday and it is hilarious!!! Lex was running down the field towards the ball when all of a sudden her shorts fell all the way to her ankles. Lucky for her her shirt was long enough to cover her little underwear. I wish I could have had a picture of it. They are so cute playing together!!!!
Our Baby Girl!!!
Well I am finally back from a crazy emotional summer. We have been everywhere and back and its finally coming to a head!!! We found out a couple months ago that our daughter Makynna had been diagnosed with a rare birth defect called hurlers syndrome. It was very hard at first, but now with modern technology there is a cure and that is were we are at now!! It is going to be a hard year for us but with all the support that we have hopefully it will be easier then not. We are very scared but know that this is what we have to do to help our daughter get and stay heathy. So Makynna had to have a bonemarrow transplant. They just called us today and told us that our son Jacob (our 5 1/2 year old) was the perfect bonemarrow match and so we will be down in Stanford in about 3- 4 weeks to start the transplant. After we start I will stay in Stanford for about 6 months depending how everything is going. It will be challanging but this is what we have to do for our baby. The better side of all this is when everything is done and Makynna has taken on to the new bonemarrow it will give her what she needs to cure her disorder.

My Little Fishermens!!!
Jacob and Alexis loved to fish! They fish from the moment they wake up in the morning to when they go to bed until something tragic happened. Jacob was fishing with Alexis's fishing pole and when he casted it out the fishing pole kept going and sunk before anyone could get it. Poor Alexis was devastated. Jacob was pretty emotional as well because he felt bad that he lost her pole. Well July 22 was Alexis's birthday and what did she get and new fishing pole she was so excited. We just went up to Trinity Lake for the weekend and Lex had to take her new pole. We got there on a Wednesday and by Thursday that little pole went to the bottom of the lake to join the other fishing pole. Another heartbreaking moment for Alexis. So my question is "Why do they Make kids fishing poles sink?"

Forth of July Week!!!
My kids and I took a trip up to the beloved Trinity Lake for 8 wonderful days!!! We had so much fun. Jacob and Alexis Go from the minute they wake up in the morning to when they are so tired at night they are falling asleep before they are actually put into bed. There days constist of throwing rocks for hours, going on boat rides and swimming when they are not doing any of the others. They would swim until midnight if I would let them. The week that we were at the Lake their Pa taught them all kinds of jumps like the Cannon Ball, 360, Diving, Heal clikers and more so they accomplish alot. Me and Makynna Just hang out on the houseboat relaxing and taking naps, Well just Makynna and the nap thing but I would have liked to. Even though I had three kids and no husband up at the lake for the 8 days I still enjoyed every minute of it. Just the hour enjoying the sun or the minutes of enjoying the great smell of the outdoors I would go back in a heartbeat.

Humboldt Weather!!!
The most exciting part about living in Humboldt county is the weather. You never know if it is going to be 80 degrees or 60 degrees in the summers or I guess all year round! In this case we have been having some pretty nice weather about 70 degrees and no wind ( which is huge). Nana ( there grandma) bought the really cool swimming pool from costco and set it up at her house so the kids could swim and enjoy our Humboldt weather while we have it. They loved every minute of it while they wrestle each other to see who was the strongest. I think that Alexis won the battle because she got Jacob out a lot more times then he got her out. You will see her being pretty proud of herself for kicking her brothers butt!!! There is a picture showing jacob laying on the deck after being defeated by his little sister. Makynna was enjoying the sun to while watching her brother and sister beat each other up.

The Greatest Daddy Ever!!!
Jake and Lex think the world of their daddy, Craig. He is the ignitiator of the Star Wars chaos
in our home. When he comes home from work the first thing he does is he starts wrestling around with them teaching them new moves, then after that gets a little crazy he throws in the light saver fighting. You could only imagine how are house gets sometimes, but they sure do love it!!!
